About Matthew Cohan
Matthew Cohan is a driven and zealous advocate who brings years of courtroom experience and trial advocacy to the firm. Mr. Cohan represents clients facing a wide range of criminal charges on both the state and federal levels, including white-collar crime, organized crime, and violent crime.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Cohan served over three years at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. During his time there, he prosecuted thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases, taking numerous cases to trial, including robbery, burglary, Driving While Intoxicated, controlled substance and weapon possession, assault, and attempted murder. Starting in the District Court Trial Bureau, Mr. Cohan worked his way up the ranks, being promoted several times and eventually landing a position in the Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau, overseeing various investigations of criminal enterprises and theft rings. By leveraging his familiarity with New York’s prosecutorial tactics, Mr. Cohan can craft innovative and effective defense strategies to ensure clients receive the best possible outcome.

Education & Career
Mr. Cohan received his law degree from Syracuse Law in 2021. During his law school summers, Mr. Cohan interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, and at a prominent criminal defense firm in Syracuse, NY. Mr. Cohan is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
